    TEAM: MIB 2-6

    REPURPOSED

Recycling has a PURPOSE, leave it to RePurposed.

  • Executive summary

Repurposed is a waste management company that gives a second life to used plastic packaging of beauty & cosmetics products. We understand the needs of environmentally-conscious cosmetics consumers trying to reduce pollution. We also allow brands to shift towards becoming greener business that fosters sustainability.

    How do we do it?

By (01) providing post-consumer recycling (PCR) services, (02) collaborating with cosmetics brands as our impact partners, and (03) repurposing plastic.

Regardless of where our customers are, we collect cosmetics’ plastic waste through our convenient mail-in, drop-in, and pick-up system. We perform in-house sorting, cleaning, and treating of plastic, and finally, based on the condition and composition of the plastic, we would

    ● recycle it and sell it

    ● treat it in pellets and sell it to companies in different industries to be used as raw material

    ● clean it and sell it back to beauty brands like “ecoglam" for refilling

    ● upcycle it into new products to be sold

That’s how we make money, in addition to paid partnerships and membership programs.

And the best part is that everyone is happy! The consumer is rewarded through incentives for providing us with plastic, while the businesses save money and the planet.

The market is promising as the plastic packaging industry will grow significantly by 2025, and beauty product consumers are also willing to pay more for cosmetics that use reused or recycled plastic. And while our competitors are sector-agnostic, we will be the beauty and cosmetics industry specialist, which will allow us to get more clients and solid partnerships.

We are starting with a prototype in the United States to test our business model and assess the efficiency of our operations through customer feedback, before scaling up to other international target markets such as South Korea, India, and the Middle East, where we have a remarkable growth potential.

RePurpose will also seek investors interested in supporting environmental-impact-driven companies to ask for in-kind, monetary, and promotional investment to facilitate growth and prevent the operational, financial, and market risks we anticipate.

In a nutshell, RePurposed aims for LESS plastic and MORE Impact in the cosmetics Industry. We don’t only do that through tackling more than five sustainable development goals but also through raising awareness, educating consumers and businesses on the importance of environmental sustainability, and advocating for a greener beauty and cosmetics industry.
